PURPOSE: This equipment
is designed for determination of co-efficient of discharge of orifice &
mouthpiece.
DESCRIPTION: This is recirculation type equipment and is complete by itself. It
consists of a Sump tank, Collecting Tank, Measuring Tank and Monoblock Pump
etc., suitably mounted on a sturdy base frame. Necessary instruments for
measuring X-Y co-ordinates, stop clock etc. are provided. In order to prevent
rusting of the tanks, we have provided Sump Tank and Measuring Tank made up of
M.S.Sheet lined with Fibreglass. The Set-Up is very compact and can be easily
moved around the lab. And also the space required is very less as compared to
conventional setups.
Specification:
1. Set of Orifice : 10mm & 15mm (Acrylic)
2. Set of Mouth piece : Dia. 10mm, L/D 2.5 & 4 (Brass)
3. Sump Tank : Capacity 150 ltrs. Material M.S.Sheet with F.R.P. lining from
inside for prevention of rusting.
4. Collecting Tank : Capacity 100 ltrs. Material M.S.Sheet with F.R.P. lining
from inside for preventing of rusting. Stand for mounting the collecting tank.
5. Measuring Tank : Capacity 40 ltrs Material M.S.Sheet with F.R.P. lining from
insidefor prevention of rusting. Piezometric Glass Tube for flow measurement.
6. Monoblock Pump : Capacity 0.5 HP, Single Phase, 230 V.
with required bye-pass valve and suction piping.
7. Flexible Hose Pipe for connecting the basic unit to the Sump Tank.
8. Control valve for controlling the flow rate.
9. Stop clock.
10.Scale X-Y co-ordinate measuring arrangement.
11. A base frame made up of sturdy M.S. Angles.
