Universal Testing
Machine - BSPIL-SOM-AI-UTM (I) 10
The machine is designed for testing metals
and other metals and other materials under tension, compression,
bending/transverse loads. The machine is operable on 415 volts, three phase 50
hz ac supply and based on the rated capacity of the machine, has four load
measuring ranges, as quoted below against each rated capacity of the machine. An
autographic continous roll load elongation recorder, incorporated in the machine
products a graph of load vs elongation.
Standard Accessories
For Conducting Tension Tests :
Clamping jaws for testing Round and Flat test specimens under Tension Tests.
For Conducting Compression Tests:
A PAIR OF compression Platens, duly hardened, ground and polished, with the
bottom platen provided with guide-lines for placing the test specimen co-axial
with the hydraulic RAM.
For Conducting Bending/ Transverse:
A table with adjustable rollers complete with mandrel for conducting
bending/Transverse Tests

Load Stabilizer:
A Device incorporated extraneously on the Control Panel of the Universal Testing
Machine, it is designed for stabilizing any load desired, selected on the range
for any
Length of time.
This device is very useful for carrying out Brinell Hardness tests where a load
of 3000 Kgf is required to be applied at constant for 30 seconds duration.Apart
from this, whenever any constant load is desired to be applied on a specimen for
carrying out experiments, this device is quite useful.
Brinell Hardness Test Attachment:
The attachment is designed for conducting brinell hardness test at 3000 kgf load
on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Comprising of jigs and fixtures, hardned
steel balls of 5mm and 10mm dia with ball holder, the attachment is supplied
complete with brinell microscope with illuminating arrangement and bhn
conversion table.
Double Shear Test Attachment:
The attachment is designed for conducting Double Shear on round specimen. The
attachment comprises of a Double Shear Test Block and bush.
Extensometer:
An extremely useful and indispensable instruments, the Extensometer is designed
for determining 0.2% proof load on tensile tests. |
