OBJECTIVE: Performance And Morse Test
FEATURES AND SPECIFICATION: Four-Stroke, Multi Cylinder, Indica New
Engine developing about 10 HP at 1500 rpm with self-starter, battery,
alternator, lubrication oil filter, fuel pump ignition coil, exhaust gas
silencer, oil pressure gauge, choke control, throttle control.
a) LOADING DEVICE: A Hydraulic Dynamometer complete with weighing gear
dead weights in Kgm units suitable for testing the engine at different speeds.
The engine and dynamometer are directly fitted on a substantial base plate.
b) PANEL BOARD ARRANGEMENT: Consisting of ignition and starting switch,
ammeter, fuse units, pilot lamp high voltage knife switch assembly for cutting
of each cylinder for conducting Morse Test.
c) FUEL MEASURING ARRANGEMENT: Consisting of Fuel tank, burette,
three-way cock fuel piping fuel tank to engine.
d) AIR INTAKE MEASUREMENT: Arrangement for measuring the heat carried
away by exhaust gases consisting of a suitable capacity air tank, orifice plate,
manometer thermocouples provided to measure room temperature, exhaust gas
temperature with pocket connection.
e) COOLING WATER ARRANGEMENT: Arrangement for measuring the heat carried
away by cooling water consisting of suitable inlet and outlet piping with flow
control valve thermocouples are provided to measure the inlet and outlet
temperature of the water.
f) DIGITAL TEMPERATURE: Multi channel Temperature indicator with
thermocouples are provided to measure the temperature of cooling water and
exhaust gas at various points of the test rig, which is duly calibrated as per
ISO AND QS Norms.
