Twin cylinder 10 hp kirloskar make four strokes diesel engine test rig with hydraulic dynamometer- BSPIL-THR-DE-TCHBD-20010

KIRLOSKAR make Diesel Engine test rig comprises a Twin cylinder engine coupled to dynamometer and mounted on a strong base. Test rig is complete with loading arrangement, air measurement set up, fuel measurement set up, instrument, control panel, engine cooling arrangement, exhaust arrangement, exhaust gas calorimeter etc.,
Experimental Capabilities:
1. Determination of BHP – Load Test
2. Determination 1 HP, mechanical efficiency.
3. Determination of Air fuel ratio, specific fuel consumption.
4. To draw Heat balance sheet.
5. To plot curves of BHP VS SFC. BHP Vs Efficiency.
Description & Specifications:
1. Engine : Kirloskar, +V2 Model
: Twin cylinder, 10 HP water-cooled, vertical 1500 rpm, four stroke.
2. Engine cooling system : Water inlet with valve and outlet pipes along with water meter. Thermo wells at both inlet and outlet points.
3. Air Measurement System : Air tank, orifice – sharp edged, Manometer – tube, water filled, 0-50cm.
 Nipples, tubes, Hoses.
:Tank is fitted with rubber diapbragm 500 x 500 x 500 mm.
4. Fuel Measurement system : Fuel Tank Burette, 3 way cock, pipes etc.,
5. Exhaust Gas Calorimeter : Shell & Coil type Thermowells at all inlet and outlet points (4) Flow measurement jar/watermeter. Temperature indicators – digital. OR with bimetal, dial type thermometer. Water flows through coils of copper.
6. Space needed : 3x.4x4 M.
PYROMATIC MAKE Hydraulic Dynamometer:10 HP, 1500 rpm, constructional details of Dynamometer is as follows:
Casing: of close tained cast iron rugged in construction with integral bearing housing.
Stator: of gun metal, with semi-elliptical pockets and cooling water inlet.
Rotor: of gun metal, with semi-elliptical pockets formed in the opposite direction to that of the stator.
Shaft: of Nichrome or alloy steel finished to close limits and fitted with shaft sleeve where it enters the stuffing box.
Sliding Gates: of gun metal designed for smooth operation.
Ball bearings: of deep grove, single row type in the casing for the shaft and double, row self aligning type in the pedestal for the casing to swing.
Double Device: A large capacity dash pot is provided to damp the vibration of the casing if any, giving a steady reading of the balance pointer.
Cooling water arrangement: Provision of cooling water supply is made in the unit, consisting of a flexible hose inlet with G.M. control valve, outlet pipe with control valve, waste water outlet etc.,
Base Plate: Of case iron with box type ribbed construction providing a rigid support the main unit and for the load measuring device.
