How to Watch Indiana Basketball Against Purdue Tuesday (2024)

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – One of college basketball's best rivalries will be renewed Tuesday night at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall as Indiana hosts Purdue.

Coach Mike Woodson and the Hoosiers won both game last season, but the Boilermakers still managed to win coach Matt Painter's fourth Big Ten regular season title.

Heading into this year's first matchup, Indiana is coming off a 74-62 win over Minnesota on Friday, and Purdue dominated Penn State, 95-78, on Saturday.

Meet the coaches

• Matt Painter, Purdue: Painter is in his 19th season at Purdue with a 428–200 overall record and a 213–122 run in Big Ten play. Painter is a four-time Big Ten Coach of the Year, four-time Big Ten regular season champion and three-time two-time Big Ten Tournament champion. Purdue has reached 14 NCAA Tournaments under Painter, including one Elite Eight run in 2019 and six trips to the Sweet 16. Painter played at Purdue from 1989-93, and the Fort Wayne native was inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame in 2022.
• Mike Woodson, Indiana: Woodson is in his third season at Indiana with a 56-31 overall record and a 25-21 mark in regular season Big Ten play. Woodson has NBA head coaching experience with the Atlanta Hawks from 2004-10 and the New York Knicks from 2012-14.
