Best Experience ever! Nadine was awesome. I have had very long hair and have continued to let it grow out for a year now because I have hated getting my hair cut. I have very thick curly hair and tried every hair salon and barber shop in Woodbury and always either have a terrible cut or not quite what I wanted. But today I finally got my haircut for the first time in a long time. Nadine was perfect, she did EXACTLY what I asked for and showed me the best products for my hair. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to find a good hair salon/barbershop.

First time here; switched from GENTS. Nadine was precise, direct, and gave me a very clean haircut. I appreciate the quiet and not talking while getting a haircut. It’s very relaxing and removes feelings of pressure to talk. I will definitely be back with Nadine.Haircut

Do not go here unless you want a cookie cutter 1/4 inch sides 1/2 top haircut. I grew my hair out shoulder length for 3 years and the hairdresser BUTCHERED IT! I asked for a simple 1/4-1/3 of the length cut off, the guy literally didn’t even look at me half the time and seemed like he was preoccupied or too busy to deal with me. They have 0 experience with any hair over an inch and I would pay $100 to not have them cut it again. I paid $60 for a bowl cut…

I have to say that I am thoroughly impressed! I made an appointment for my 11 year old last minute with Samantha today. He is picky and wanted a drop fade… we got done and he told me it was the best haircut he has ever had! Thank you! We will be back!Haircut

The woman at the front desk was the only nice part of this experience. I made an appt for my 7 year old son and Ken, the stylist did not say anything to him… did not even acknowledge him. He was not friendly and did not cut his hair well at all. I felt as if we were bothering him.

So easy to get an appointment. They were quick and did an excellent job with my husband’s curly hair. He said he will definitely be back.

I’m done with this place. Made an appt. last week to grab a cut during my lunch hour. 20 minutes after my appt. and still sitting in the waiting area had to cancel to return to work. Told the person at the desk it’s 20 minutes past my appt, I have to go back to work. They brushed me off with an “ok”. Reluctantly, I made another appt. today. They were punctual this time. The woman cutting my hair didn’t like the word I used to describe the very basic cut I was looking for where it is short around the sides and blends up to the top which is a bit longer. She began pressing me to explain further focusing on the word “blend”. I told her a 1 around the sides and blended up to the top which combs over to the side. While I appreciate someone trying to make sure they get it right, she was loud, rude, and belittling, making a scene as she told me not to use the word “blend.” I don’t cut hair for a living, “blend” perhaps is the wrong term. However, I’ve used it as a way to describe my very basic style haircut for as long as I can remember without anyone ever questioning it. They always seemed to understand what I was getting at. She continued to interrogate me about whether I really want a 1 in a way that made me wonder if she was going to shave my entire head. Frustrated she asked me to find a picture of myself at my last haircut. I looked, but I don’t really take many pictures of myself. The entire scene was embarrassing. My impression was that her coworkers were embarrassed as well as more than one of them gave me a pitying/awkward smile as they walked past during the cut. I should have walked out before it started, but I’m not really one to make a scene. When she started the cut, I just played along “yep, that’s great”, “looks good”, “sure”, etc, anything for it to be over faster so I could leave. And it was quick…her hands were not moving delicately with precision, they were a furious storm flying around my head. It was done in 10 minutes tops (which was a relief considering). I wasn’t going to argue about the top being longer than I had wanted, even if she had asked. Didn’t want to risk more embarrassment and arguing at the time. She told me to describe it as a “1 around the back and sides and clean up the top.” I guess that’s the technical term. 5 minutes rudely being questioned as if I’m an idiot, 10 minute speed cut. Paid nearly 50$ including a undeserved tip. I will never return. I’m sure there are good people there. Maybe this person was having a bad day, but it was unbelievable. Don’t gamble by selecting “any” if you decide to risk it and book an appt. here. I can recommend Samantha as she gave me a pleasant cut some time back, but unfortunately for me she wasn’t working today.

Very rude. What a horrible experience. Brought my 13 year old boy. They apparently don’t like to cut kids hair. I’m guessing they assume it’s too cheap of a cut and assume a bad tip. I felt they didn’t want to cut my kids hair last time but got a good haircut and tipped more than the cost of the cut. The attitude changed after the tip and “be sure to come back” .We did but previous barber wasn’t there anymore. This time, Nadine started arguing with us like nothing I have seen before she even touched his hair when we described what he wanted. “Show me pictures! Will he style it like that? I can’t do that!” . It was awful. I went with her because the reviews were so good. We’re not those weirdo parents that were trying to tell her how to do her job. Just suggestions. We had to leave . My son was so happy we left. He said she was mean and negative and I didn’t he want her to cut his hair. Couple days later, we went to the Standard in Oakdale. Asked for the same cut. Not a problem with the same request and it looks fantastic. And the vibe was right on. Won’t be back to Roosters. Beat it B!

I want to be clear that I’m only giving a full 5 stars because I like the services you receive for the price point and that Dre is awesome. I have been searching for a regular hair stylist for more than a decade, The last great hair stylist I had was at a Master Cuts in Seattle and one day it was closed and she was out of my life forever. I came to Roosters for the first time in 2018. I do not remember my experience but if I did not return until 2022 then I’m sure it wasn’t great. About 4 months ago I made a reservation with a male stylist that I will not mention. I try to articulate myself as clearly as possible but he looked irritated from the start, he was a very unpleasant gentlemen but he was my age so I gave him the benefit of the doubt and trusted he’d do a good job. Because he put some hair product in my hair so did not know what the haircut truly looked like. Even after I tipped him 33% he still barely could say goodbye. The next time I washed my hair there were random long hairs all over the side of my head around my ears.
